Job Summary and Responsibilities:

The Respiratory Therapist provides patient-centered respiratory care, performs diagnostic tests, administers therapies, and monitors patients receiving mechanical ventilation. Responsibilities include:

• Performing patient assessments and diagnostic procedures
• Administering respiratory therapies and assisting with airway management
• Monitoring and adjusting mechanical ventilation
• Responding to emergent situations and ensuring airway safety

Qualifications:

• NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Completion of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate's Degree or equivalent)
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications, obtained within specified timeframes
