Responsibilities

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) monitors and weans oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation. The RRT draws, analyzes, and reports arterial blood gases and EKG tests. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Delivering intermittent therapy and assisting with changing artificial airways
• Performing routine and advanced therapeutic procedures according to established policies and procedures, including CPR and bag-mask ventilation
• Operating, maintaining, and repairing respiratory equipment to ensure proper functioning, cleanliness, and operation
