Job summary

Norton Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Registered Radiology Technologist to operate imaging equipment and produce diagnostic images that meet department and industry standards. The role involves preparing patients, educating and addressing questions, and ensuring safety and proper technique across modalities.

The technologist will also oversee students and contribute to training and quality control efforts within a patient-centered imaging team.

Qualifications

• RO (State Radiography License) and ARRT-R certification.
• OR ROT (Temp State Radiography License) with ARRT-R required before ROT expiration.

Responsibilities

• Uses imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images meeting standards.
• Prepares patients for procedures and answers questions with appropriate communication.
• Ensures patient safety, positioning, infection control, and radiation safety.
• Oversees and trains students as part of their clinical education.

Responsibilities

The Registered Radiology Technologist utilizes imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. Applying professional knowledge, prepares patients for the procedure, educates and responds to questions or concerns. Ensures age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
