Job summary

Norton Healthcare is seeking a Registered Radiology Technologist to operate imaging equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring safety and patient comfort. The role requires thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, image quality, and infection control practices.

The technologist will prepare patients, respond to questions, and maintain high standards of care, including proper communication, positioning, and safety during imaging procedures.

Qualifications

• RO license and ARRT-R certification required.
• ROT license with ARRT-R required before ROT expiration.

Job description

Responsibilities

The Registered Radiology Technologist utilizes imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. Applying professional knowledge, prepares patients for the procedure, educates and responds to questions or concerns. Ensures age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
