Job summary

Norton Healthcare in Louisville is seeking a Registered Radiology Technologist to perform imaging using X-ray and other equipment, ensuring high quality diagnostic images and patient safety.

You will prep patients, position them, respond to questions, and may train students; relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• RO license and ARRT-R certification required.
• Alternative ROT with temporary license and ARRT-R before expiration may apply.

Responsibilities

The Registered Radiology Technologist utilizes imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. Applying professional knowledge, prepares patients for the procedure, educates and responds to questions or concerns. Ensures age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.

• ROT (Temp State Radiography License) and Must obtain ARRT-R prior to ROT expiration
