Job summary

Norton Healthcare is seeking a Registered Radiology Technologist to produce diagnostic images and ensure adherence to imaging standards. The role includes patient preparation, education, safety, and collaboration with the team to maintain high-quality imaging.

You will also support student training and contribute to a safe, patient-centered environment while following radiation safety protocols and infection control measures.

Qualifications

• RO (State Radiography License) and ARRT-R required
• ROT (Temp State Radiography License) with ARRT-R before ROT expiration
• One year of experience in general radiography preferred

• Produces high quality diagnostic images using imaging equipment and ensures they meet department and industry standards
• Oversees and trains students as part of their training and ensures patient safety and proper communication throughout procedures

Responsibilities

The Registered Radiology Technologist utilizes imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. Applying professional knowledge, prepares patients for the procedure, educates and responds to questions or concerns. Ensures age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
