Hy-Vee is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team in a fast-paced retail setting. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy team while promoting wellness programs and community outreach.

The role requires a licensed pharmacist with a passion for patient care and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Immunizations and HIPAA compliance are essential components of daily duties.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred
• Ability to administer immunizations required

Responsibilities

• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with OBRA '90 regulations and all state and federal statutes and regulations
• Assist with controlled substance inventory on an annual basis or as recommended
• Assist with inventory control including ordering, stocking merchandise, checking invoices, and entering inventory information
• Coach, counsel, and train pharmacy employees and participate in additional education and training
• Visit schools, doctor's offices, and senior centers to market pharmacy services
• Build growth and sales through counseling and wellness programs
• Assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager
• Administer immunizations as certified
