Job summary

Hy-Vee Inc. is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy team while contributing to wellness programs and community outreach.

The role involves immunizations, inventory management, and collaboration with store leadership to promote health initiatives, all while maintaining HIPAA privacy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active.
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required.
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred.
• Ability to administer immunizations required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with OBRA '90 and state/federal regulations.
• Assist with controlled substance inventory on an annual basis or as recommended.
• Assist with inventory control including ordering, stocking merchandise, checking invoices, and entering inventory information.
• Assist with reconciliation and balancing of third-party accounts and monthly inventory.
• Coach, counsel, and train pharmacy employees and participate in additional education and training.
• Visit schools, doctor's offices, and senior centers to market pharmacy services.
• Build growth and sales through counseling and wellness programs.
