Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses for the Med Surg/Telemetry team on the night shift (7p–7a) with rotating weekends. Eligible for a commitment bonus of $20,000 for experienced RNs or $10,000 for new graduates.

Qualifications

  • Current North Carolina state RN license or compact license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify care needs.
  • Initiate appropriate nursing interventions and document care plans.
  • Provide age-appropriate patient care and timely medical record documentation.
  • Develop and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
  • Collaborate with the Med Surg/Telemetry team to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Our Med Surg/Telemetry unit provides nurses with the opportunity to care for a diverse adult patient population, including medical, telemetry, and post-surgical patients. How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current North Carolina state or compact state RN license. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS is required within 90 days of hire
  • Associate's degree in nursing is required (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
  • One year of RN experience in a health care setting is preferred
