Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital in North Carolina is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse for the Night Shift (7p–7a) with a 3x12 schedule and rotating weekends. A $20,000 commitment bonus is offered. The ICU team provides blended critical care across ICU, stepdown, and telemetry, with close collaboration with intensivists.

You will assess patients, initiate interventions, document care, and participate in care planning to ensure quality outcomes in a supportive, community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina state RN license or compact state RN license.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of recent ICU RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions based on patient condition.
• Provide age-appropriate care aligned with patient needs.
• Document medical necessity and care timely in the medical record.
• Contribute to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.

Our 8-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) offers a unique blended critical care experience, providing care across ICU, stepdown, and telemetry levels of care. Nurses work closely with the intensivist and gain valuable experience in patient assessment, stabilization, and clinical decision-making while caring for a diverse patient population. How You’ll Contribute

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs

• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should have a current North Carolina state or compact state RN license. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Associate's degree in nursing is required (Bachelor's degree is preferred)
• 1-2 years of recent RN experience in the ICU is required.
