Job summary

Faith Haven Senior Care Center in Jackson, MI seeks an experienced Unit Manager RN to coordinate clinical care on a 24-hour unit. You will lead the nursing team, assign assignments, conduct rounds, and ensure quality care using the latest technologies as part of an interdisciplinary team.

The role offers a starting salary of $86,000 up to $90,000 per year with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and annual salary increases.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing and hold an active RN license in Michigan.
• Current CPR-BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of related nursing experience required.
• Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills.
• Analytical ability to develop care plans and improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing team, provide direction and assignments, and train staff.
• Conduct regular rounds with patients and staff to monitor care.
• Instruct team on skilled care processes and serve as clinical resource.
• Ensure completion of reports such as infection control and quality management.
• Promote hospitality and excellent service in daily interactions with residents and families.

The Unit Manager is a registered nurse who is responsible for the coordinating the clinical care of an assigned unit within the center’s 24 hour operation and ensuring consistent and quality care for all residents. You will be empowered to assess the needs and implement care as you deem necessary utilizing the latest in technology and being a part of a strong interdisciplinary team.

How You Will Help People Every Day

• You will supervise the nursing team including giving direction & assignments, offering training, and contribute to recognition and evaluations.
• You will conduct regular rounds with patients and staff to monitor performance and care.
• You will instruct the team regarding the skilled care process and function as a resource person for clinical issues
• You will ensure the completion of requested reports, i.e., infection control, pharmacy compliance, quality management, etc.

What you will need to be part of our EPIC team:

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Current Registered Nurse License iin the State of Michigan; current CPR-BLS certification.
• A high level of analytical abilities in order to prepare personalized care plans, implement effective nursing care and rehabilitation, and develop solutions to difficult problems concerning well-being.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
