Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Current, unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse License needed.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Inpatient and palliative care experience preferred.
• Experience managing staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff on assigned shift.
• Conduct nursing rounds on all units multiple times during the shift.
• Coordinate with supervising physicians for treatment plans.
• Assess each patient’s needs to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Track treatments and patient progress compliant with HIPAA guidelines.
• Coordinate with supervising physicians to support residents’ recovery.
• Ensure staff perform duties per local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned by Nursing leadership.
• Licensed Practical Nurse may be considered.

Registered Nurse-RN Unit Manager Qualifications & Responsibilities

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Current, Unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse License
• Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required
• Prior experience in inpatient and palliative care is preferred
• Prior experience managing staff is preferred
• Supervise the nursing staff on assigned shift by: monitoring the distribution of medications, blood draws, and other elements of patient care.
• Conduct nursing rounds on all each unit multiple times throughout the shift
• Provide education, as needed, to staff, residents and resident family members
• Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans
• Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines
• Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure smooth recovery process for residents
• Ensure staff are performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines
• Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing or Administrator
• Licensed Practical Nurse may be considered
