Job Summary

As an RN Unit Manager, you will oversee daily clinical operations on your assigned unit, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards while fostering a supportive and patient-centered environment.

About the Role

• Provide leadership and clinical oversight for nursing staff on the unit
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, patients, and families to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and education
• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation

Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Patient Care

• Oversee and coordinate daily nursing operations on the unit
• Assess residents' physical and emotional needs and ensure appropriate care delivery
• Review and update individualized care plans based on residents' progress
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly

Staff Supervision & Support

• Supervise, guide, and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback
• Assist with staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage

Care Coordination

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care plans

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to state, federal, and facility regulations
• Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive medical records
• Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives

Medication & Treatment Management

• Oversee administration of medications and treatments as prescribed
• Ensure safe and effective medication practices
