Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join the Patient Access & Care team. The role involves daytime, Mon-Fri shifts with telephone triage, care assessment, and coordination across practices and managed care clients.

Qualified candidates will have a BSN (preferred) and an active RN license in the applicable state, with BLS certification and ED triage experience considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse required.
• Experience in telephone triage, pediatrics and ED triage is desired.
• BLS certification per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs telephone triage with diverse patient population.
• Assesses needed care and collaborates with patients and others to provide clinical solutions.
• Provides comprehensive nursing assessment in an untraditional nursing environment.
• Notifies practices, physicians, and managed care clients of encounters and follow-up needs.
• Participates in team conferences and assesses patient education needs.
