Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is hiring a part-time RN for weekend coverage in the Recovery department. You will deliver patient care in accordance with organizational policies and carry out physician and nursing orders.

You’ll develop and adjust individualized care plans, monitor patient conditions, and coordinate post-discharge needs with the healthcare team, patient, and family. A Florida RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida with a compact/state recognition prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• Deliver patient care in accordance with organizational policies and protocols, while accurately noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders.
• Implement and adapt individualized patient care plans while observing, recording, and communicating changes in patient condition.
• Act as the primary coordinator across all medical disciplines to deliver well-managed, holistic care during the patient's stay.
• Assess, anticipate, and coordinate post-care and discharge needs in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
