Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a dedicated RN leader for the OR unit in Destin, FL. You will supervise shift staffing and coordinate workflows to maintain high-quality perioperative care.

Responsibilities include directing nursing teams, contributing to hiring/training, and ensuring staffing aligns with patient needs. Prior OR leadership and a Florida RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse credential from Florida Board of Nursing required prior to hire.
• ACLS or BLS within specified timeframe; may be AH A or Red Cross accepted.
• 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Supervise unit staffing, coordinate shift workflows, and ensure the consistent implementation of clinical objectives and high-quality OR patient care.
• Assign, direct, monitor, and educate nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, while actively contributing to hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Assess daily patient needs to develop and distribute population-appropriate care assignments while identifying and resolving any issues affecting patient outcomes.
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of patient care interventions and address clinical or service complaints through established organizational channels.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

One or more of the following

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experiencerequired.

Additional Preferences

• RN with at least 5 years of OR Experience, Certification (CNOR) encouraged
