Ascension Health in Destin, FL is seeking an experienced RN for Med Surg on a night shift. You will deliver high-quality nursing care according to organizational protocols and accurately carry out physician and nursing orders.

You will coordinate across medical disciplines to ensure seamless, well-managed care throughout the patient’s stay and assist with post-care and discharge planning in collaboration with the team and family.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed RN in Florida prior to hire date; multi-state license recognition (Compact State) required.

• Act as the primary coordinator across all medical disciplines to deliver seamless, well-managed care throughout the patient’s stay.
• Assess, anticipate, and coordinate patient post-care and discharge needs in collaboration with the healthcare team and family.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board ofNursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
