Hempstead Park Nursing Home in Town of Hempstead, NY is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) to lead a dedicated nursing team and oversee resident care. This role emphasizes quality outcomes, staff mentorship, and compliance with NY state standards.

You will assess and coordinate care plans, supervise LPNs and CNAs, and collaborate with physicians to ensure residents receive compassionate, evidence-based care within a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed RN in NY.
• Knowledge of MDS, IV administration.
• Certification and Supervisory skills preferred.
• Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Five years supervisory experience in Long Term Care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for residents.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and document residents' health status, vital signs, symptoms, and progress.
• Supervise and support a team of LPNs and CNAs to deliver optimal care.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care.
• Educate residents and their families on health management, conditions, and treatments.
