Job summary

SoftPath Medical seeks a Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit Registered Nurse in Morgantown, West Virginia for three 12-hour night shifts (7pm–7am). Job description

Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit Registered Nurse

Shift Details

Three 12-hour night shifts, from 7pm to 7am, primarily on weekdays with occasional weekends

Nurse-to-patient ratio is generally 1:4, which may increase to 1:5 during emergency situations

Holiday time off should be limited to no more than two of the four major holidays

Assignment Information

Start date: Immediate availability preferred

Contract duration: 13 weeks

Required Certifications and Skills

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
• Proficiency in IV insertion and telemetry monitoring

Experience Requirements

• Between 1.5 and 2 years of nursing experience
• Minimum of 1 year in Medical-Surgical or Telemetry nursing
• At least 2 years of experience in Stepdown care
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythm strips

Unit Overview

The Stepdown Unit cares for patients typically classified under Progressive Care or Telemetry in larger hospitals. Patient acuity levels will vary.

Additional Information

Travel nursing experience is not required

Weekend block schedules (Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday) may be considered

Scrubs are not provided; dress code requires burgundy and/or white scrubs

Electronic Medical Record system in use: Cerner
