Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Short Stay Unit on a part-time schedule, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The nurse provides direct, comprehensive care for patients from admission to discharge.

Requirements include an ADN from an accredited program, current Kentucky RN license, ACLS and BLS within stated timelines, NIHSS within 6 months, and mandated nonviolent crisis prevention training. Preferred BSN and recent specialty experience are welcomed.

Qualifications

• ADN from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted RN licensure in Kentucky.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• NIHSS required within 6 months of hire.
• Mandatory nonviolent crisis prevention training to be completed prior to end of orientation period and maintained annually.

The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Mandatory nonviolent crisis prevention training to be completed prior to end of orientation period and maintained annually.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience in specialty preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
