Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ICU on a part-time night shift (7p-7a) in Kentucky. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates, with a 15% shift differential.

Responsibilities include direct nursing care from admission to discharge, documentation, prioritizing care, and ongoing communication with physicians and other departments.

Qualifications

• ADN required from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted RN license in Kentucky.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• NIHSS required within 6 months of hire.
• Crisis Prevention training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
• Review and document care provided, outcomes, and evaluations.
• Prioritize care based on changing assessment and patient needs.
• Maintain ongoing communication with physicians and other hospital departments.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 6 months of hire.
• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience in specialty preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
