Job summary

BHS Baptist Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool in Elizabethtown, KY. This full-time night shift (7p–7a) position provides direct comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge and requires documentation and evidence-based bedside practice.

Candidates must hold an ADN, Kentucky RN licensure, ACLS/BLS within specified timelines, NIHSS and PALS within 6 months, and one year of telemetry experience. BSN preferred. Benefits include tuition assistance and PTO.

Qualifications

• ADN degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted RN license in Kentucky.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• NIHSS within 6 months of hire.
• PALS within 6 months of hire.
• One year Telemetry nursing experience required.
• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Registered Nurse - Float Pool Full-Time 7p - 7a

The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. Reviews and documents care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care. Applies evidence, professional standards, and best practice to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices.

Requirements:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.


• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.


• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire.


• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.


• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 6 months of hire.


• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire.


• One year of Telemetry nursing experience required.


• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent experience in specialty preferred.


• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
