Job summary

Lakeview Hospital is seeking an RN - SDS/PACU to assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing care. You will provide work direction for unlicensed personnel and assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures, while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families.

Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing, MN Board RN license (or WI RN with MN Border State Registry), BLS, ACLS and PALS/ENPC within 6 months, and at least

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Licensed as an RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or Wisconsin RN license with Minnesota Border State Registry.
  • Current BLS CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers.
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of start date.
  • PALS/ENPC certification required within 6 months of start date.
  • Minimum 1-year PACU RN experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide work direction and oversight of unlicensed nursing personnel.
  • Carry out provider orders and assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures.

As an RN - SDS/PACU you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the provider's medical orders; to assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient his/her family, health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

.0.75 FTE Weekdays Day/Evening. On-call requirements. On-call requirements weekdays & weekends.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Nursing, or equivalent.
  • Licensed as a RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Border State Registry
  • Current BLS - American Heart Association or BLS - American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
  • ACLS certification required from AHA within 6 months of start date if not present at hire
  • PALS / ENPC certification required within 6 months of start date if not present at hire
  • Minimum 1-year (2080 hours) recent PACU RN experience required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate or Master's degree in Nursing
  • Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program
  • Specialty Certification in the RN's area of expertise (e.g. CCRN, PCCN, CNOR, CPAN, CAPA, etc)
