Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking an experienced RN for the SDS/PACU at Lakeview Hospital. The role involves independent nursing care, directing unlicensed staff, and assisting providers with orders and procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, documenting appropriately, and communicating with patients and families as well as other health professionals. On-call duties and 0.75 FTE weekday coverage are required.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Licensed as an RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or Wisconsin RN License with MN Border State Registry.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months if not present at hire.
• PALS or ENPC certification required within 6 months if not present at hire.
• Minimum 1 year PACU RN experience required (2080 hours).

Job description

As an RN - SDS/PACU you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the provider's medical orders; to assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient his/her family, health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

.0.75 FTE Weekdays Day/Evening. On-call requirements. On-call requirements weekdays & weekends.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing, or equivalent.
• Licensed as a RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Border State Registry
• Current BLS - American Heart Association or BLS - American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
• ACLS certification required from AHA within 6 months of start date if not present at hire
• PALS / ENPC certification required within 6 months of start date if not present at hire
• Minimum 1-year (2080 hours) recent PACU RN experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Nursing
• Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program
• Specialty Certification in the RN’s area of expertise (e.g. CCRN, PCCN, CNOR, CPAN, CAPA, etc)
