Job summary

TRIA Orthopedics in Minnesota is seeking an RN (Pre, post, PACU) to join our surgery center team. The RN provides direct patient care in ambulatory settings and coordinates care under the Nurse Practice Act, with duties ranging from assessment to evaluation.

Casual position, minimum two shifts a month, Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays. Requires BSN and Minnesota RN license with BLS. The role emphasizes patient experience and collaboration with the care team; benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• BSN / Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License.
• BLS provider status per AHA or American Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in ambulatory settings as part of the RN scope.
• Coordinates and supervises patient care provided by assistive personnel as needed.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care in ambulatory settings. Patient care may be a direct activity of the RN, or it may be to coordinate and supervise patient care provided by assistive personnel. Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. Previous experience preferred in the designated area.

Work Schedule

casual position, minimum requirement 2 shifts a month, Monday thru Friday, no weekends, no holidays. Varying day shift hours.

Required Qualifications

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • BSN / Baccalaureate degree in nursing
• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
  • Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
  • BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Personal Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Printer, and electronic medical record.
• This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, discrimination, and harassment laws).
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
