Sentara Leigh Hospital located in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a RN Unit Coordinator for the Intermediate Care Unit!
Hours: 36 per week
Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager, leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to staff development. Aims to increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
This 24-bed unit includes 8 step-down beds for patients who are too ill for general medical/surgical care but do not require ICU level care. Additionally, 16 beds are designated for Med/Surg patients, including some cardiac cases.
