Sentara CarePlex Hospital is currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse for the Step Down Unit/Intermediate Care Unit.

Responsibilities include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overall patient care. Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

License and Certification

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire

Education

• RN-Associate's Degree, or

• RN-Master's Degree

Department Overview

This is a 24-bed unit caring for patients with diverse healthcare needs. It is the designated Stroke Unit. We provide care for respiratory compromised patients on Bipap, high-flow oxygen, and/or chronic long-term vents. We manage vasoactive infusions and have bedside monitors. Patients with DKA, CHF, Pneumonia, and more are cared for here.
