Sentara CarePlex Hospital is currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse for the Step Down Unit/Intermediate Care Unit.

This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

License and Certification

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire

Department Overview

This is a 24-bed unit where we care for patients with a variety of healthcare needs. We are the designated Stroke Unit. We provide care for respiratory compromised patients on Bipap, high-flow oxygen, and/or chronic long-term vents. We manipulate and titrate vasoactive infusions and have bedside monitors. We provide care for patients with DKA, CHF, Pneumonia, and more.
