Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgery department in Plano, TX. The role supports procedures, recovery, and post-operative care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications include a Nursing Diploma or ADN, RN license at hire, and BCLS/ACLS/PALS with CPI within stated timelines. OR experience preferred and a strong focus on patient safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Nursing diploma or ADN required; RN licensure on hire.
  • Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS and CPI training within specified timelines.
  • 1 year of nursing experience; OR experience preferred; strong confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Care for patients in surgical services; assist procedures and recovery.
  • Respond to safety, privacy and comfort needs; support families and caregivers.
  • Uphold professional standards and nursing best practices in a team setting.
  • Participate in cross-training and ongoing career development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

Work location: Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery, 6020 W Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093
Work hours: Full-Time (36 hours per week) - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
Surgery Department Highlights:
  • Endoscopy and Lithotripsy procedures
  • Responsible for preparing patients, performing procedures and recovery

Here's What You Need:
  • Nursing Diploma required or
  • Associate's Degree of Nursing required
  • Bachelor's degree of Nursing preferred
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse required
  • Previous Operating Room (OR) experience.
  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required and
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire and
  • PALS - Pediatric Advance Life Support within 90 days of hire and
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days required
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment
