Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Frisco, Texas, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) PRN for the Surgery department. This role involves delivering patient care, assessing and planning care, and evaluating interventions in a team-oriented environment. Candidates should possess an Associate degree, BCLS, ACLS, and preferably have RN experience in an Operating Room setting. Qualifications

• One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• RN with one year of Operating Room circulator experience preferred.

Work hours: PRN – Monday-Friday Variable hours 0630-1900

Surgery Highlights

• Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team.

Here’s What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program
• BSN preferred
• One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• RN with one year of Operating Room circulator experience in a hospital setting (preferred)
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire) AND
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age‑specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers.
