Job summary

Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Special Procedures Area to support invasive and diagnostic services. This on-site role features a day shift with five 8-hour days and minimal on-call requirements, including one weeknight call every 2-3 weeks and one weekend every 12-14 weekends.

The Special Procedures RN will operate across five procedural suites, delivering care to inpatients and outpatients.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN required.
• RN licensure in Illinois.
• Current BLS/CPR certification per policy.
• Able to position/transfer adult patients and perform IV/IM procedures.
• Able to stand for long periods and handle hazardous materials as applicable.

Responsibilities

Job Description Summary:

Registered Nurse (RN) - Special Procedures Area

This is a Fulltime, M-F, Day Shift position Schedule: 7:30am - 4:00pm (Five 8's and Four 8's Weekly Rotation) Minimal On-Call Requirements: 1 weeknight call shift every 2-3 weeks; 1 weekend call shift every 12-14 weekends A Special Procedures RN uses five procedural suites and provides diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to both inpatient and outpatients, including bronchoscopy, gastrointestinal endoscopy, motility and phone studies, breath hydrogen testing, and pill cam studies.

• Responsible for delegation, supervision, and provision of nursing care for a designated group of patients through utilization of the nursing process.
• Provides age-appropriate care.
• Participates in research when appropriate and incorporates research findings into evidence-based clinical practice.
• Contributes to quality improvement processes.
• Adheres to MH Mission, Vision, and Values, the Nursing Division Mission, Vision, and Philosophy, the ANA Code of Ethics and the Illinois Nursing Act.

• Education: ADN or BSN
• Licensure/Certification/Registry: Licensed as RN in State of Illinois
• Current BLS/CPR certification per policy
• Must be able to position and/or transfer an average adult patient and possess gross coordination sufficient to perform other patient care duties as required.
• Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to perform difficult manipulative skills such as IV insertion and IM injections.
• Environmental working conditions include exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue, contagious diseases and/or radioactive or other potentially hazardous materials.

Pay Transparency $30.23 - $48.37 Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
