Methodist Healthcare System in San Antonio, TX seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Rapid Response Team (RRT). The RN RRT will respond to Code Blues, Heart Alerts, Stroke Alerts, Sepsis alerts and other emergencies, performing proactive surveillance and collaborating closely with bedside nurses.
The role emphasizes teaching during and after events to support less experienced staff and improve patient outcomes.

The RN Rapid Response Team (RRT) will respond to all RRT’s, Code Blues, Heart Alerts, Stroke Alerts, Sepsis alerts and any other patient care emergency. The RN RRT will perform surveillance by identifying the patients at risk for complications or becoming seriously ill by using proactive approach, making rounds frequently to collaborate with the bedside nurses as part of consultation without intimidating the bedside nurses. Consistent and routine presence of RN RRT will provide nurse’s support, clinical knowledge and expertise to build trust and familiarity amongst each other. The RN RRT should take the role of teacher both during and after the event in order to best help the inexperienced nurses.
