Job summary

Select Medical's SSH-St. Francis in Milwaukee is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN night shifts on a 12-hour schedule.

This critical illness recovery hospital provides inpatient post-ICU care to chronically ill patients within a compassionate team. Responsibilities include admissions/transfers, ongoing patient assessment, precise documentation, data interpretation, rapid response, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License.
• BLS is required at hire.
• ACLS is required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry; ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events
• Instruct and counsel patients/families
• Performs other duties as assigned
