Job summary

Baptist Health System in Lexington, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical-Telemetry unit on a PRN, days schedule.

The RN provides comprehensive nursing care, collaborates with the team, and adheres to evidence-based practices and department policies. Current Kentucky RN licensure, BLS, and appropriate certifications are required; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred to support post-catheterization care and telemetry patients.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor’s or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Those with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
• Basic life support

Unit Overview:

6B is a 23-bed med/surg/telemetry unit. This unit specializes in post-cardiac intervention, medical cardiology, chemotherapy, continuous EEG, and post-procedural patients. Staff receive specialized training for post-catheterization and Tikosyninitiation/administration.This population has multiple co-morbidities and complex care.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.




• Bachelor’s or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
