Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4H telemetry unit, focusing on post-op CABG, cardiac surgery patients and complex care needs. The role centers on delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care and coordinating admissions, discharges and education.

The position requires a valid Kentucky RN license, BSN or ADN, BLS and specialty certifications as listed, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
• Bachelor’s or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• Those with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
• Basic life support
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Spends majority of time coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care activities on the unit.
• Provide nursing rounds, assessments and treatments.
• Facilitate admission, transfer and discharge activities.
• Provide patient and family-centered education and care coordination.

4H is a 23 bed telemetry unit. This unit specializes in post-op CABG patients, post-op cardiac surgery, CHF and moderate risk chest pain patients. The population has multiple co-morbidities and complex care. The patient population is transferred from ICU, ED and PACU.

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:
