Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand seeks a Preop Recovery Nurse PRN to support ambulatory surgery centers. You will provide nursing care before and after surgery, follow physician orders, and coordinate preoperative and postoperative checklists with patients and offices.

Qualified candidates are graduates of an Accredited School of Nursing with an active RN license in Illinois, CPR and ACLS certified, and at least two years of perioperative patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN License.
• CPR and ACLS certified.
• Minimum two years in pre-, intra-, and post-operative surgical patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in provision of nursing care to patients in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting.
• Discuss and obtain items to complete preoperative and postoperative checklists with patients and physicians' offices.
• Ensure care follows physician orders and center policies.

JOB TITLE: Preop Recovery Nurse PRN

Salary Range: $35.00 - $53.00 per hour, based on skill and experience level.
The posted pay range reflects the range for this position. Actual pay will be determined based on candidate's relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Assists in provision of nursing care to patients in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. Assumes total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician's orders and centers policies. This position will contact patients as well as physicians' offices to discuss and obtain items necessary to complete preoperative and postoperative checklists.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current state RN License.
• CPR required.
• ACLS required.
• Minimumtwo year in pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative surgical patient care.
