Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID seeks a night shift, full-time Post Partum Couplet Care Registered Nurse to join its care team. You will apply nursing knowledge to deliver compassionate bedside care and support new families during the postpartum period.

The RN collaborates with physicians and leadership, prioritizes and delegates care, and adheres to hospital policies while advancing patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Idaho.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Obtain NRP within six months of hire.
• Obtain STABLE certification within one year of hire for Nursery; preferred for OB/GYN.
• At least one year of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
• Respond to life threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
• Organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with all necessary Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.
