Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID is seeking a night shift, full-time Post Partum Couplet Care Registered Nurse to join our team. You will provide nursing care using the nursing process and respond to life-threatening situations.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited school of nursing, current Idaho RN license, BLS, NRP within 6 months, STABLE within 1 year for Nursery; one year of acute care preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• NRP within six months of hire.
• STABLE certification within one year of hire for Nursery; preferred for OB/GYN.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies.
• Respond to life threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
• Organize care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with Providers/Leaders.

The Registered Nurse utilizes the knowledge basis of nursing education and experience in order to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols. The RN responds to life threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions. The RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with all necessary Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.
