Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID, is seeking a day shift, part-time Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. The RN delivers nursing care using the nursing process, responds to life-threatening situations with appropriate interventions, and coordinates with physicians, therapists and leadership to ensure continuous, high-quality neonatal care.

Preferred qualifications include Idaho RN licensure, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and PALS if Life Flight is involved;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Idaho.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Obtain NRP certification within six months of hire.
• Obtain STABLE certification within six months of hire.
• Current PALS certification preferred if assigned on Life Flight Team.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse utilizes nursing knowledge and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
• The RN responds to life threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
• The RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with all necessary Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.
