Ideal candidates hold an RN license in Idaho, with BLS; PALS and ONS certifications within the first year. Prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Idaho.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer and prior to direct patient care.
• PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
• ONS certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Pediatrics nurses provide direct care to patients from newborn to geriatric.
• Patients include medical-surgical, oncology, and pediatric patients requiring moderate sedation for procedures and testing.
• Staff ratio is 1-3 patients according to patient acuity.
• Nurse reports to the Pediatric charge nurse.
• Pediatric RN organizes care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating, and communicating with necessary providers and departments.

• Pediatrics nurses are Registered Nurses (RN) who provide direct care to patients who range in age from newborn to geriatric.
• Patients include medical-surgical, oncology, as well as pediatric patients requiring moderate sedation for special procedures and testing.
• Staff ratio is 1-3 patients according to the acuity of the patient.
• The nurse reports to the Pediatric charge nurse.
• Pediatric RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating, and communicating with all necessary providers and ancillary departments on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Obtain PALS certification within 1 year of hire
