Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID, is seeking a night shift, full-time Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. The RN provides patient-focused care leveraging the nursing process and collaborates with physicians and leaders to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program and current Idaho RN licensure. BLS must be obtained within 14 days of hire; ACLS and TNCC within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS within 6 months or current
• TNCC within two years of hire.
• Preferred: Minimum 2 years of acute care.

Responsibilities

The Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse utilizes the knowledge basis of nursing education and experience in order to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols. The RN responds to life threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions. The RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with all necessary Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho required
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Obtain ACLS within 6 months or hire and maintainas current
• Obtain TNCC within two years of hire and maintain as current

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care
