Job summary

Select Medical in Milwaukee is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Tier 2 PRN for the Day shift at SSH-West Allis. This role delivers world-class inpatient post-ICU care, with emphasis on accurate assessments, timely documentation, and compassionate patient/family support.

The position requires a valid RN license, BLS and ACLS at hire, with a minimum of two 12-hour shifts per week and four shifts in a six‑week cycle.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License.
• BLS is required at hire.
• ACLS is required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events
• Instruct and counsel patients/families
• Performs other duties as assigned

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Tier 2 PRN Day shift

Location: SSH-West Allis

Schedule:

• Minimum of 2 12-hour shifts per week
• One major and one minor holiday per year
• Three weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling cycle

Compensation: $61.00 per hour + applicable weekend differential

Sign-on bonus: $4,000
