RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Per Diem Day shift at the Rahway facility in New Jersey. The role requires an active NJ RN license, IV/BLS/ACLS certifications, and EPIC EMR experience.

A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, with Med/Surg, Telemetry or ER experience highly valued. You will work 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on a 12‑hour day shift, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a high‑volume inpatient setting to deliver safe, evidence‑based care and

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway offers comprehensive outpatient services designed to meet the diverse needs of our community. As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognizing subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
• Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing; be I.V. certified from an approved facility, hold a current American Heart Association BLS certification and ACLS certification. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred. Prior patient care experience - Med./Surg., Telemetry and/or ER nursing experience is required, and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position is Per Diem with a 12-hour day shift. The schedule is a day shift - 7AM-7:30AM.
