Job summary

Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Nursery team on a PRN basis. The unit includes a well-baby nursery and a 2-bed level II nursery serving newborns greater than 32 weeks' gestation, caring for over 800 newborns annually.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, planning and interventions, timely documentation, and participating in QI activities. A state RN license and BSN/associates from an accredited program are required.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license
• Degree from an accredited nursing school
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
• One year of experience preferred

• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

The Nursery at Wilson Medical Center is comprised of a well-baby nursery as well as a 2-bed level II nursery serving newborns greater than 32 weeks' gestation. The nursery provides care to more than 800 newborns annually.

How you'll contribute

What we're looking for

a compassionate nurse with a deep understanding of critical care principles and advanced patient monitoring.

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school.

Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
