Job summary

Wilson Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for a 3x12 shift in the well-baby and Level II nursery. The role involves direct patient care, assessments, and documentation to support newborns and families.

The ideal candidate holds an state RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, and a BLS certification to be completed within 30 days of hire. At least one year of experience is preferred for this in-person role.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• One year of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and perform nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age.
• Document medical necessity and care plans in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Conduct timely QI assessments.

More about our team

The Nursery at Wilson Medical Center is comprised of a well-baby nursery as well as a 2-bed level II nursery serving newborns greater than 32 weeks gestation. The nursery provides care to more than 800 newborns annually.

How you'll contribute

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What we're looking for- a compassionate nurse with a deep understanding of critical care principles and advanced patient monitoring.

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
