Harris Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Nursery unit in Sylva, NC. This 18-bed Women's Services area includes a Level 2B nursery with 6 beds, a Mother Baby unit, and a Labor/Delivery area, with about 50 deliveries monthly.

The RN will perform assessments, implement nursing interventions, document care, and contribute to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan while benefiting from cross-training opportunities and a self-scheduling system.

Qualifikationen

• Active North Carolina RN license required.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.

3x12s, day shift (7a-7p). Rotating weekends and holidays required.

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus for New Grad RNs, $15,000 Sign-On Bonus for day shift experienced RNs with a 2-year commitment for eligible candidates.

Join our team in a 18-bed Women's Services Unit featuring a Level 2B nursery with 6 beds, 8 bed Mother Baby Unit and 5 bed Labor and delivery unit. With an average of 50 deliveries per month and a below-average C-section rate, our unit provides comprehensive care for expectant mothers and newborns. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to promoting a positive birthing experience and ensuring the health and well-being of mothers and infants alike. You will also have the opportunity to cross-train in different areas of this department to gain experience. This department utilizes a self-scheduling application.

What we're looking for

• Licenses: Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Associate's degree required, BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
