Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med/Surg unit. This full-time day shift role features a 3x12 schedule, rotating weekends and holidays, and a $10,000 sign-on for new grads or $15,000 for experienced day shift with commitment.

Join a 28-bed unit with a 6:1 patient ratio; assess patients, administer treatments, document care, and participate in interdisciplinary planning.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required.
• Associate's degree required, BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Must have critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus for New Grad RNs, $15,000 Sign-On Bonus for day shift experienced RNs with a 2-year commitment for eligible candidates.

Schedule: 3x12s, day shift (7a-7p). Rotating weekends and holidays required.

Join our team in a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. With a 6:1 ratio, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient's needs, administering treatments and ensuring patient comfort and safety. How You'll Contribute

What we're looking for

• Licenses: Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.


• Associate's degree required, BSN preferred.


• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.


• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.


• One year of experience preferred


• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
