Armor Health in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for night shift (2x12s) on a part-time basis in a correctional setting. You will provide comprehensive clinical care, perform assessments, document health histories, and collaborate with physicians and health care providers to implement care plans.

The role requires an active RN license, CPR certification, EMR proficiency, and the ability to pass required background checks.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Able to pass pre-employment Level 2 background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic (RN) nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions; document health history and admission assessment.
• Document triage decisions during custody and discharge to the health care provider.
• Develop individual nursing care plans with health care providers.
• Implement care plans, diagnostics, and nutrition/therapeutic diets as ordered.
• Administer medications using proper techniques and routes; assist physician with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic (RN) nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients; obtain health history and provide a written assessment of patients upon admission.
• During custody and upon discharge, document and communicate triage decisions to the appropriate health care provider.
• Develop individual nursing care plans using nursing assessment protocols in consultation with health care providers.
• Implement medical care plans to include diagnostic tests, EKGs, etc., according to physician orders.
• Administer medications using proper techniques, procedures, and approved routes of administration; nutrition and therapeutic diet plans.
• Assist physician in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary.

Qualifications

• Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Current CPR certificate
• Proficient with electronic medical records
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
