Select Medical's SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Richmond Heights, MO is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) New Graduate at $37/hour with a $15,000 sign-on bonus. This full-time day position runs 6:45a-7:15p, with 3-12 shifts and every 3rd weekend in rotation.

The role supports rehabilitation for brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological and orthopedic cases, with extensive orientation and potential career advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for registered nursing.
• Valid State RN License is required.
• BLS required at hire.
• Must have scheduling flexibility to complete the program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and monitor the assessment plan and follow-up of care for the patient population.
• Develop nursing care plans including goals, diagnoses, orders, interventions and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan and evaluate rehabilitation goals.
• Maintain complete, accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the physician and your preceptor, you will ensure implementation of the assessment plan, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care for the patient population.

• Initiating an ongoing systematic assessment of the physical, emotional, social, educational and functional needs of the patients/families.
• Interpreting assessment data and information to develop a nursing care plan which contains problem identification, nursing diagnosis, nursing orders, approaches, interventions, short/long term goals and discharge planning.
• Participating as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of rehabilitation goals.
• Assuring that documents in the medical record are complete, factual, accurate and timely.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited program for registered nursing.
• Valid State RN License is required.
• BLS required at hire
• Must have flexibility of scheduling to complete the requirements of the program.
