Helen M. Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) – New Graduate for full-time shifts. Salaries start at $40/hr and go up to $54/hr, with sign-on bonuses of $10,000 for days and $15,000 for nights.

The position emphasizes orientation and growth within a multidisciplinary rehab setting partnered with UPMC and Select Medical. Applicants may begin prior to licensure but must obtain a license by start date.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Valid State RN License is required.
• BLS certification at hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement the assessment plan for the patient population and follow-up of the plan of care.
• Conduct ongoing systematic assessment of physical, emotional, social and functional needs of patients/families.
• Develop nursing care plans with diagnoses, interventions and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to achieve rehabilitation goals.
• Ensure medical record documents are complete, accurate and timely.

Responsibilities

In collaboration with the physician and your preceptor, you will ensure implementation of the assessment plan, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care for the patient population.

• Initiating an ongoing systematic assessment of the physical, emotional, social, educational and functional needs of the patients/families.
• Interpreting assessment data and information to develop a nursing care plan which contains problem identification, nursing diagnosis, nursing orders, approaches, interventions, short/long term goals and discharge planning.
• Participating as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of rehabilitation goals.
• Assuring that documents in the medical record are complete, factual, accurate and timely.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for registered nursing.
• Valid State RN License is required.
• BLS required at hire
• Must have flexibility of scheduling to complete the requirements of the program.
